Anita Decker Parrish

Anita Decker Parrish, 87, of Clanton, passed away on June 10 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery.

She was born on Friday, Dec. 18, 1925, in Pulaski County, Mo., the daughter of the late Henry Tillman Decker and the late Floy Walker Decker.

She was a lunchroom manager.

Surviving are husband, W.J. “Dick” Parrish of Clanton; two daughters, Barbara Bryant of Wetumpka and Kay Lucas (Lloyd) of Clanton; two sons, Dickie Parrish (Juanita) of Decatur and Jimmie Parrish of Wetumpka; two sisters, Aimee Sherwood and Roberta Jones; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Culpepper; brother, Hubert Carl Decker; and sister, Orvetta Ayers.

Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. on June 15 at West End Baptist Church in Clanton.

Services will be held on June 15 at 11 a.m. at West End Baptist Church in Clanton with the Rev. Daniel Wilson and the Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to West End Baptist Church Building Fund.
