Humane society director resigns

Published 8:46pm Monday, June 10, 2013

County Administrator Connie Powell told Chilton County commissioners on Monday that Humane Society Director Scott Missildine resigned.

Powell said Missildine’s resignation came after he announced he would be reporting for active duty in August.

Commission Chairman Allen Caton said Missildine had always been professional in coming before the commission and he reminded commissioners that due to Missildine’s active duty service, he would be awarded his job as humane society director upon his return.

“When he comes back he will be awarded his job again,” Caton said. “He did a lot of great things for the humane society.”

I foster for the humane society and for a rescue that pulls dogs from the shelter to find them homes. I’m sorry to see him go and I hope the new director is as good.

    Be careful Scott!
