Marie Rhodes Johnson

Marie Rhodes Johnson, 75, of Clanton, passed away on May 25 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born on Sept. 26, 1937 in Chilton County, the daughter of the late William H. Rhodes and the late Luthie Mae Rhodes.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son, Donny Johnson (Terry) of Hendersonville, Tenn., daughter, Symanthia Trammell (Jerry) of Clanton; grandchildren, Darren Johnson, Whitney Johnson, Marika Trammell, Melissa Burnett (Matthew); great-grandchild, Luke Burnett; sisters, Jean Mayfield of Clanton and Dean Lett of Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Johnson; parents, William and Luthie Rhodes; sisters, Willie May Robinson, Elouise Cates and Edna Faye Minor.

Friends were received on May 27 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were held on May 28 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Smith officiating.

Interment followed in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
