Graduation ceremonies to be held Thursday

Most high schools in the Chilton County area will hold graduation ceremonies on Thursday, May 23.

The following is a complete list of graduation times and locations:

•Billingsley High School: 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium: guests should try to park in the back parking lot. Valedictorian for the senior class is Jonathon Glasscock.

•Chilton Christian Academy held their graduation ceremony on May 17 at Victory Baptist Church. Valedictorian was Ryan Powell and salutatorian was Mary’l Smitherman.

Special speaker at the ceremony was state Sen. Cam Ward.

•Chilton County High School: 6 p.m. in the school auditorium. Each senior was issued four tickets for the auditorium and two tickets to watch the ceremony in the school lunchroom. Valedictorians for the CCHS senior class are Austin Rossi, Mary Colby Kelley, Ashley Parker and Cameron Blackmon. Salutatorian Megan Liveoak.

•Isabella High School: 7 p.m. in the auditorium: each senior was issued 10 tickets. Valedictorians for the senior class are Heather Posey and Cari Fondren. Salutatorian is Savanah Rasberry.

•Jemison High School: 7 p.m. at the football field: gates open at 6 p.m. and anyone is welcome to attend if the ceremony is held in the stadium; in case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the auditorium with five tickets issued to each senior. Valedictorians for the JHS senior class are Kristen Millard, Jill Vinzant, Lauren Price and Courtney Evans. Salutatorians are Jessica Hernandez and Brandon Johnson.

•Maplesville High School: 7 p.m. in the auditorium: each senior was issued 15 tickets.

Valedictorian for the senior class is Hayes Palacio. Salutatorian is Autumn Smith.

•Thorsby High School: 7 p.m. in the auditorium, Helen Jenkins Hall. Each senior was issued eight tickets to the ceremony.

Valedictorians for the THS senior class are Haley Grace Barnett, Kelsie Barrett and Kelly Nord. Salutatorian is Houston Daniel.

•Verbena High School: 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Valedictorian is Kaelyn Mims and salutatorian is Phillip Hensley.

•Jefferson State Community College Chilton-Clanton Center had a collective ceremony for the four Jeff State campuses on May 3 at Cathedral of the Cross in Birmingham.
