Rosters announced for East-West Baseball Game

Junior and senior baseball players from all six Chilton County high schools will go head-to-head Saturday to assist two local civic clubs with their fundraising efforts for eyesight.

The annual East-West All-Star Baseball Game will start at noon at Jack Hayes Field in Clanton.

The single, nine-inning game will pit players on the East team (Chilton County, Maplesville and Verbena) against players on the West team (Thorsby, Isabella and Jemison).

MHS coach Brandon Shanks, CCHS coach Josey Shannon and VHS coach Scott Doss will head up the East team. JHS coach Jason Easterling, IHS coach Ryan Ellison and THS coach Ab Argent will head up the West team.

Players will be introduced before the game at 11:45 a.m.

Proceeds from the game benefit the Clanton Lions Club and the Clanton Evening Lions Club.
