Marshall Wayne Patterson, 64, of Verbena passed away on May 12, 2013.

He was born on Nov. 14, 1948 in Chilton County, the son of the late James Marshall Patterson and the late Marie Jacks Patterson.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Patterson of Verbena; sons, Rodney Patterson of Cullman, James Patterson (Brandy) II of Maplesville and Tony Patterson of Verbena; daughter, Courtney Patterson of Verbena; grandchildren, Destiny Patterson, James Patterson III (Jamie), Madelyn Patterson, Conner (Earnhardt Jr.) Patterson, Chrislyn Sheets; sisters, Joyce Cleckley (Jerry), Janice Robinson; brothers, Larry Patterson (Diane), Kenneth Patterson (Debra); half-brother, Jerry Patterson (Brenda) and half-sister, Margie Moore (Jerry).

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. on May 14 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held on May 15 at 11 a.m. at Floyd Baptist Church with the Rev. Derek Deavers and the Rev. Mike Lawrence officiating.

Interment will follow in Floyd Baptist Cemetery in Verbena.
