Friendship Baptist Church

Our choir special was “Sweet Beulah Land,” a melody with a solo part by Bill Davis. Our message was from 2 Chronicles 2:1-2. Bro. Ken Daniel’s message was titled “Ownership.” Hiram supplies timber for building the temple. We should give because God gives to us.

Nathan Wilkerson sang “I Bowed On My Knees and Cried Glory.”

The sermon title from Ephesians 1 was “Spiritual Treasure in Christ.” We are messengers of God. We need to come across as on fire for Christ, showing our love and excitement.

We had approximately 80 ladies attend our mother/daughter banquet on Saturday. A special thank you to Nathan Wilkerson and Ian for preparing our meal. Thanks also to Tanner and Matthew Wilkerson.

Shiloh Baptist Church

Bro. Ernest brought the message from Exodus 20:1-17. God warns his people not to have idols. Do not put anything between you and God. If there is anything or anyone that is keeping you from your relationship with God you need to get rid of it. It has to be your choice. You have to put God as number one. Television, cell phone and social media can play a good role in your Christian life if it is used to spread God’s word and glorify him, but it is also another way Satan has of trying to get between us and God. God should always be first in our life.

May 19, 2013 will be our 182nd Homecoming Celebration. We would like to invite everyone to join us for worship, music and fellowship.
