May 4 yard sale will benefit Chilton County Humane Society

Published 3:07pm Tuesday, April 30, 2013

The Chilton County Humane Society will accept donations up until Friday afternoon for a yard sale on May 4.

Humane society board member president Jenny Millwee said the original deadline for the yard sale was May 1 but donations will be accepted up until Friday afternoon to allow more people to participate.

All proceeds from the yard sale will benefit the humane society.

“We are accepting anything people want to donate,” Millwee said. “If they need help picking something up they would like to donate we would be happy to help them transport it.”

The yard sale will begin at 7 a.m. on May 4 and last until everything is sold.

Millwee said she hopes to receive more donations within the next couple of days so there will be plenty of items for people to purchase on Saturday.

The sale will be held at Shop 701 in Clanton between Sonic and Hope Realty at 701 Blackberry Lane.

The humane society will accept donations for the yard sale at the humane society or at Shop 701.

Millwee said some of the items the humane society will purchase with the funds raised at the yard sale include kitten litter, Fabuloso cleaner and Febreze.

If anyone needs items to be picked up for the yard sale, contact Millwee at (205) 217-6955.
