Ruby Lee Latham Lane

Ruby Lee Latham Lane, 90, of Maplesville passed away on April 8 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1923, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Latham and the late Gladys Heath Shoults Latham.

She was a radiology technician in San Antonio, Texas during World War II. She was a member of the Alabama silverhaired legislature representing Chilton County.

Surviving are sister, Martha Hess of Atlanta, Ga.; sister-in-law, Evelyn Latham of Atmore; nieces, Patricia Lane of Maryland; Margaret Lane of Maryland; Rebecca Rast of Hoover; Carolyn Loggins of Pace Fla.; Cynthia Rogers of Atmore; nephews, Hunter Hess of Atlanta, Ga.; Joseph Latham of Hoover; and numerous great-nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. on April 21 at Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 2 Church.

Services will be held on April 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 2 Church with the Rev. Tony Reynolds officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 2 Cemetery in Maplesville.
