Arthur Augusta Rigsby 79, of Verbena passed away on April 14.

He was born on Monday, April 9, 1934, in Madison County, the son of the late Lawrence Rigsby and the late Virginia Jones Kelley.

He was a supervisor.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Rigsby; son, Larry Dean (June Marie); daughters, Carolyn Sue Stubbs (Mark Anthony) and Gina Marie Mitchell; grandchildren, April, Stephen, Dustin, Robert, James, Jessica, Tyler and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Charles, Sara and Evan; brothers, Edward L. Rigsby; Robert H. Rigsby; and sister, Doris Cayer.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Kelley; brother, Ernest “Haig” Rigsby; sister, Jamie Tovar; sister, Helen Vacara; half-brothers, Clyde and Winford Rigsby.

Friends will be received April 20 from 12-2 p.m. at Marbury Church of God.

Services will be held on April 20 at 2 p.m. at Marbury Church of God with the Rev. Greg Jones and the Rev. W.L. Adams officiating.

Interment will follow in Marbury Church of God Cemetery.
