CCHS tennis wins last home matches of season

Chilton County’s boys and girls tennis teams won their matches against Paul Bryant High School on Tuesday in the last home matches of the season for the seniors.

The Tigers boys won 6-3, and the girls won 9-0.

Boys singles winners included Nick Lyn (8-0), Rett Russell (8-1), Ryan Baker (8-0) and Conner Morgan (8-4).

Boys doubles winners were the combinations of Lyn/Russell (8-0) and Baker/Morgan (8-4).

Girls singles winners were Ada Ruth Huntley (8-3), Anna Adams (9-7), Mary Colby Kelley (8-2), Anna Bearden (8-0), Jessica Morgan (8-0) and Caitlyn Smith (8-1).

Girls doubles winners were the combinations of Huntley/Smith (8-4), Adams/Bearden (8-1) and Kelley/Morgan (8-1).

Area tournaments begin on April 16 for the girls and April 17 for the boys.
