Marion Eugene Thompson, 75, of Robinson Springs Community passed away on April 9, after a lengthy illness at Montgomery Baptist South hospital.

He was born on June 10, 1937, and was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Thomas Thompson (Jack Thompson) and Pauline Cleckley Thompson.

He is survived by three sisters, Wilma Dean Tatum, Josephine Duke and Margaret Ann Brown; two brothers, William Ray Thompson and Donald Joseph Thompson and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Gene chose to donate his body to the UAB Medical Center for research in hope of helping others.

The family will have a private memorial service for him at a later date.
