Nina “Pat” Lorain Gentry 73, of Jemison passed away on March 30, 2013, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

She was born on Monday, Nov. 27, 1939, in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Ralph Sawyers and the late Nina Goings Sawyers.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are daughter, Tammy (Darin) Scott of Thorsby; grandsons, Brandon Blankenship of Maplesville and Cody Scott of Thorsby; great-grandson, Drew Blankenship of Thorsby; sisters, Betty (Hut) Gwinn of Pleasant Grove, Bonnie (Harold) Gunter of Meadow Bridge, W. Va., brother, Ned Sawyers of Bel Air, Md., nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jack Gentry; parents, Nina and Ralph Sawyers, Sally Sawyers; sister, Lula Cook; brother, Boyd Sawyers and brother, Lloyd Sawyers.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 3 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held April 3 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne Reach officiating.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery.
