The Eleventh Area of Alabama O.A.C., Inc. (Community Action) and sponsor Southern Care Hospice hosted a 45th retirement luncheon honoring two devoted employees.

The luncheon was held on Friday and recognized Olivia Washington for 45 years of service as the executive director and Elizabeth Hill who worked 45 years as the housing coordinator.

Washington said her retirement will begin March 31 and Kendra Williams will take over serving as the executive director.

Eleventh Area of Alabama O.A.C., Inc. provides services throughout Chilton and Shelby counties for low-income individuals by assessing local needs and attacking the causes and conditions of poverty.
