Richard William “Bill” Farris, 76, of Adamsville went to be with the Lord surrounded by his wife and loving family on March 19, 2013.

He was born on Friday, June 5, 1936 in Alabama, the son of the late Sam White Farris and the late Frances Davidson Farris.

He was a business owner, selling electrical and electronic equipment.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris Farris of Adamsville; three daughters, Sandra F. Otts of Graysville, Vicki Farris of Graysville and Tricia F. (Joe) Bice of Clanton; son, Mike Farris of Mt. Olive; five grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Frances Farris and son, Greg Farris.

Friends will be received from 12-1:30 p.m. March 21 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Adamsville.

Graveside services will be held March 21 at 2:45 p.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo with the Rev. Tony Hughes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to your favorite charity or to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Capitol Improvement Fund in Adamsville.
