Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Chilton County

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Chilton County until 5 p.m.

Thunderstorms are producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.

A tornado warning for Chilton County is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight.

Counties under the tornado watch include Autauga, Chambers, Coosa, Lowndes, Pike, Tallapoosa, Barbour, Elmore, Macon, Randolph, Bullock, Clay, Lee, Montgomery and Russell.
