Church News for Thursday, March 14

Shiloh Baptist Church

March 3 was a cold Sunday morning in the Shiloh Community, but it was warm and friendly inside with all of our church family.

Bro. Earnest’s message was from 2 Corinthians 5:17-20: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. In other words, regardless of what our past is, when we except Jesus Christ as our savior, the old is gone. That does not mean we forget our past, but learn from our mistakes, and possibly help others. We no longer want that old way of life. We try to bring our friends to Christ, but we also surround ourselves with fellow Christians. We are part of a church family, which helps us grow in Christ.

Congratulations to Courtney and James Connell of the arrival of their daughter, Leighton Jade Connell, born March 1, weighing 7 pounds, 7 ounces.

Congratulations to Ann Marie Murray and Nathan Smith as they wed on March 9 at Mulberry Baptist Church at 2 p.m.
