She was born on Tuesday, March 22, 1932, in Alabama, daughter of the late Carey Easterling and the late Cora Cleckley Easterling.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her daughter, Barbara C. (Allen) Smitherman of Clanton; son, Jimmy W. (Myra) Cleckler of Clanton; grandsons, Chris Smitherman of Clanton, Brian (Wendy) Smitherman of Clanton; great-granddaughter, Emily Smitherman of Clanton, Sydney Smitherman of Clanton, Taylor Smitherman of Clanton; great-grandson, Brady Smitherman of Clanton; step great-granddaughter, Charity Headley of Clanton; and sister, Mavis Reynolds of Clanton.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Carey and Cora Easterling; husband, Johnnie W. Cleckler; brother, Roy Easterling; sister, Cleedie Easterling, sister, Ruby Nell Seales; and great-grandson, Adam Smitherman.
Friends were received from 5–8 p.m., Saturday, March 9 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services were held Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. at Sunshine Assembly of God with the Rev. Dale Collins, the Rev. W. Thurmon Cleckler and the Rev. Arthur Davis officiating.
Interment followed in Sunshine Assembly of God Cemetery in Clanton.
