Mountain Springs Church

Service started on Sunday with Bro. Kenneth Moates leading the church in the following hymns: “Send the Light,” “The Glory Land Way,” “Mansion Over the Hilltop” and “Oh, I Want to See Him.”

Bro. Ricky Bice gave the devotion from Psalms 150. How many times do we actually thank God for the things he has done for us? We need to praise him no matter what.

After Sunday school, Bro. Kenneth led the church in the hymn “That Glad Reunion Day.” Debbie Barnett sang “Still Blessed” and “I’ve Made it by Grace.”

Bro. Tim Henry and his family were with us this Sunday. Bro. Tim preached from Exodus 14. We should always trust God to lead us where we need to go. Are you going to believe what God says or what your emotions are telling you?

Sunday night’s service started with Bro. Kenneth leading the church in the hymns “Are You Washed in the Blood,” “Victory in Jesus” and “Heaven’s Jubilee.”

Bro. Kenneth Moates gave the devotion from Psalms 128. You can choose who you fear: you can fear God, or Satan and what this world holds. If we fear God, we have nothing to fear.

Sheri Moates sang “I Need You More Today,” blessing the church with a wonderful song.

Bro. Tim preached from Philippians 1:1-5. We need boldness to spread the word of God and witness for him. Satan is waiting for us to fall, but we need to march out and endure what’s to come.

Don’t forget services are Sundays at 9:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Calvary Independent Baptist Church

We want to thank everyone who attended services this weekend.

Sunday morning’s service included a message from John 3:31-36 titled “Are You Yet Unsaved.” We hope that you are saved and have a personal relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Sunday evening’s service included a message preached by Bro. Kevin Shaw from 1 and 2 Samuel about David showing unmerited grace and mercy to Mephibosheth. Bro. Kevin explained how this shows us as sinners receiving the unmerited grace that is shed abundantly on us because of what Christ did for us at the cross.

We want to invite you to come and visit with us for any of our services. We are located south of Clanton, just past Dollar General, off U.S. 31 on Fulmer Drive.
