Benjamin Harry Sims Jr.

Benjamin Harry Sims Jr., age 92 of Clanton, passed away on Feb. 26, 2013 at Hatley Health Care.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1920 in Chilton County, son of the late Benjamin Harry Sims, Sr. and the late Austin Bruce Sims.

He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his grandsons, Timothy Bruce (Wanette) Sims of Clanton, Richard Daniel (Margaret) Sims of Pell City; four great-grandchildren; step grandchildren, Brian, Tommy and Joey Ikner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Sims and son, Benjamin H. Sims, III.

The family will receive friends on March 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held March 2 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Oneal Cleckler officiating.

Interment will follow in Clanton City Cemetery.
