Jimmy C. Willis, age 74 of Vidalia, Ga., passed away on Feb. 19, 2013 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.

He was a native of Clanton where he lived most of his life before moving to Vidalia in 2012.

Early in life, he was a jeweler and watch repairman and was later employed with the police department and the civil defense rescue squad in Clanton.

He retired as a truck driver after several years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Velma Willis; and sister, Jean Martin.

He is survived by two daughters, Sylvia D. Robinson and husband Randell of Monroeville; Patricia Willis of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Christi Knowles, Scott Robinson and Jessica Robinson all of Monroeville, Amber Smith and husband Brenton of Tarrytown, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Bekah Knowles, Tegan Smith and Jasper Smith; one nephew, Rodney Martin and wife Felicia of Clanton; and two great-nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. in the Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Clanton with the Rev. Harvey Hubbard officiating.
