David Morris Clinton

David Morris Clinton, age 68 of Columbiana, passed away on Feb. 15, 2013, at his residence.

He was born in Malden, Mo. on May 19, 1944, the son of the late George David Morris and the late Minnie Lee Burnett Morris.

He was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Morris of Columbiana; son, Aaron Morris of Shelby; daughter, Stacey Lee Bailey of Alabaster; grandchildren, David Taylor Morris, Houston Lee Morris and James Mason Bailey; sister, Glenda Morris; brother, William Michael (Quinell) Morris; brother Gary Lee (Kathy) Morris.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George David and Minnie Lee Morris; brother, Joe Douglas Morris; and brother, James Walter Morris.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Feb. 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Old Mt. Zion Church in Clanton.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. from Old Mt. Zion Church with the Rev. W. Michael Morris officiating.

Burial followed in the Old Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Clanton.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
