Joe David Stone
Published 8:54pm Monday, February 11, 2013Joe David Stone, age 85, of the Union Grove Community in Jemison, passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Bessemer on Jan. 17, 1928, the son of the late Dave Stone and the late Ethel Barns Stone.
He was retired from Bessemer Waterworks as a meter repairman.
He is survived by: wife, Brenda Bolton Stone of Jemison; sister, Judy Stone (Kenny) Knight of Hueytown; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 11, from 6–8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
Burial will follow in Rocky Mount United Methodist Cemetery in Jemison.
