The Chilton County Industrial Development Board invites anyone living in the county to come say “thank you” to members of the Chilton County industry on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.

The event will be held at the Clanton Performing Arts and Economic Development Center at Jefferson State Community College.

Industrial development coordinator Fred Crawford said the program is designed for people to come and thank those involved in the Chilton County industry that have created jobs and grown the economy.

“You don’t hear people saying thank you enough anymore so this is an opportunity for people to thank those who are helping this county grow,” Crawford said.

Crawford said the event will highlight the arts as a quality of life in the county focusing on art, education and recreation.

“These are areas that business industries look at when they consider locating to our area,” Crawford said. “We will have all three featured during our event and hopefully show those who might be interested that this county is growing.”

Crawford said the Jemison High School band and jazz band along with ballet instructor Anna Curtis and the Chilton County Arts Council will provide entertainment for the evening.

Crawford said doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 7 p.m.

Parking and entrance to the event is near the back portion of the campus.
