Leonard J. Vice

Leonard J. Vice, age 88 of Jemison, passed away on Jan. 19, 2013, at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home in Alexander City.

He was born in Youngsville, La., on June 18, 1924, the son of the late Elphege Vice and the late Matilda Menard.

He was a maintenance man at Fred Headley’s I-65 Chevron at Exit 219.

He is survived by: daughter, Peggy (David) Cook of Austell, Ga.; daughter, Jackie M. Turcotte of Jemison; son, Rudy (Tammy) Vice of Hendersonville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Junior Vice of LaFayette, La.; sister, Agnes Champagne of Louisiana; sister, Gladys Thibodeaux of LaFayette, La.; sister, Rose Menard of La.; and sister, Emily Vice of La.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
