Ronald Herbert “Ronny” Falkner, age 63, of Calera passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 in Alabaster.

Ronny was a heavy equipment operator and did mechanic work for many years. Some of the greatest gifts in his life were his wife of 40 years, his children and the births of his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Pearl Falkner; sister, Martha Henry; and brothers, Cecil Falkner Jr., Jimmy Falkner and Larry Falkner.

Ronny is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Falkner; sons, Ronald Wayne Falkner (Kim), James Lee Falkner (Megan), and John Kevin Falkner (Stacie); brother, Tommie Bristow Falkner; seven grandchildren, Dakota, Austin, Tanner, Troy, Dylan, Karcen, and Zaiden; also by nephew and best friend Jimmy Ray Falkner.

Visitation was on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 20, at Bible Baptist Church in Wilton from 2-4 p.m. for friends. His funeral service was on Monday, Jan. 21, at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., with Bro. Tom Hammett, Pastor Jim Thompson and the Rev. Daryle Nichols officiating.

Burial followed in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera.
