Carolyn J. Brown, 69, of Clanton died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

She was born on Sunday, Nov. 7, 1943, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Mitchell Odell Minor and the late Wilma Easterling Minor.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Wilton Baurice Brown of Clanton; son, Rodney Brown of Clanton; daughter, Phyllis (Greg) Smitherman of Clanton; brother, Larry (Gail) Minor of Clanton; granddaughters, Chelsea (Matthew) Brasher of Jemison, Savannah Smitherman of Clanton, Mary’l Smitherman of Clanton; grandson, Greysen Brown of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Scott and the Rev. Barney Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
