Sara Nell Glenn, 83, of Maplesville died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Chandler Health Care in Alabaster.

She was born on Saturday, Dec. 2, 1929, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Garland Whitfield Mahan and the late Sarah Myrtle Collins Mahan.

She was a secretary.

Surviving are her husband, John Virgil Glenn of Maplesville; daughters, Judy Calfee of Maplesville, Brenda (Jackie) Foshee of Jacksonville, Fla., Sheila (Clifton) Bryant of Thorsby; sons, Johnnie (Carolyn) Glenn of Alabaster, the Rev. Ricky (Virginia) Glenn of Dothan, Kenny (Jan) Glenn of Glenford , Ohio, and Cecil (Darlene) Glenn of Clanton; daughter-in-law, Debbie Glenn of Maplesville; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Whit and Myrtle Mahan; two brothers; one sister; son, Barry Glenn; and son-in-law, Rickie Calfee.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Mulberry Baptist Church.

Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at Mulberry Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bishop and the Rev. Andy Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Mulberry Baptist Cemetery in Maplesville.
