Willie C. Ray, 75, of Jemison died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013.

He was born on Saturday, Oct. 16, 1937, in Chilton County, son of the late Henry Clay Ray and the late Annie Elizabeth Noah Ray.

He was a laborer.

Surviving are his sons, Roger (Teresa) Ray of Clanton; James (Mary) Ray of Thorsby; Ricky (Carol) Ray of Jemison; Frankie Ray of Jemison; brother, Bobby (Marysue) Ray of Jemison; sister, Faye (Calvin) Smitherman of Jemison; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ray; brother, S.C. Ray; sister, Jessie Mae Martin; and sister, Dean Moore.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Posey Cemetery in Jemison.
