William Lamar Mills

William Lamar Mills, age 71 of Clanton, passed away on Dec. 27, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Hosford, Fla., on May 5, 1941, the son of the late Edward Mills and the late Eunice Farmer Mills.

He was a cabinet maker.

He is survived by: daughter, Sheila (John) Burnett of Montevallo; son, Joseph “Jody” (Kathy) Mills of Clanton; son, Michael (Sherry) Mills of Clanton; son, Elvis Wayne Mills of Georgia; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Vernon (Joyce) Mills of Georgia; brother, Hubert (Jean) Mills of Georgia; brother, Wayne Mills of Alabama; and sister, Cindy Mann of Florida.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Dec. 30, from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. from New Hope Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Austin Ball officiating.

Burial followed in New Hope Assembly of God Cemetery in Clanton.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
