Residents of a home located off County Road 69 in Clanton were not there when a fire started inside Thursday morning.

House fire spares residents

No one was injured in a fire Thursday morning at a house located near County Road 53 in Clanton.

Residents Brian and Tresha Lowery were not home when the blaze started.

Clanton and Enterprise fire departments responded to the fire at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Clanton Fire Chief David Driver said the fire was contained to the right rear portion of the house in a bedroom and bathroom, but the cause is unknown at this time.

“The house is not totally damaged,” Driver said and added that firefighters extinguished the flames within 15 minutes of arriving on the scene.
