Rocky Mount United Methodist Church

Are you prepared? This is the Season of Advent, a season of preparation. What is stored in your basement or bunker is not what is important, but what you have stored in your heart and your mind that matters. We hope you can say, “Because I know Jesus, I know I am ready.” Look around at all the decorations. They are God’s way of whispering, “I love you.” The decorations are also a reminder of Jesus’ coming and his salvation of us. The resurrection is a reality. There is a God, there is a Jesus Christ, and through his resurrection, all things are new again. God whispers to us daily. Listen for him.

Calvary Independent Baptist Church

We would like to thank everyone who attended services this Sunday. Sunday morning’s service included a message from John 1:19-36 on facts we can know because of the written Word of God, facts about who John the Baptist was and who he was not, and things concerning his ministry. Then, of course, as John the Baptist was the voice of one, each of us as born again believers of Jesus Christ, need to be the voice of one. We need to be about the Father’s business of making the savior known to all the people around us.

Sunday night’s service included a message from several New Testament passages concerning the Holy Ghost of God and his ministry in and through the lives of believers today.

We want to invite you to come visit with us for any of our services. We have an upcoming children’s program during the 10 a.m. service on Dec. 16. We will have a communion service on Dec. 23 in the 10 a.m. service. In the 5:30 p.m. service on Dec. 23, we will have a special Christmas program with a fellowship meal downstairs afterward.

We are located south of Clanton, just past Dollar General, off U.S 31 on Fulmer Drive. Sunday School starts at 9 a.m., Children’s Church and adult worship service at 10 a.m., Sunday evening service at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday service at 6:30 p.m.
