Charley Mae Harrison, age 87 of Clanton, passed away on Dec. 6, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in Elmore County on July 1, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles Bass and the late Eula Heisler Bass.

She was a loving and devoted homemaker.

She is survived by: daughter, Jean Harrison (Ernie) Peters of Jemison; daughter, Deborah Harrison (David) Joy of Clanton; daughter, Benita Harrison (James) Allen of Wetumpka; seven grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by: husband, Arlin H. Harrison; daughter, Sarah Lillian Harrison; and daughter, Brenda Kaye Harrison.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, from 10–11 a.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. from Thelma Baptist Church in Wetumpka with the Rev. Nicholas Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in Thelma Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family requests no flowers, but memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home, the Juvenile Arthritis Unit at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, the MS Foundation or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
