Randy and JoAnn Prough and Michael McGuire of Clanton are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittney Michelle McGuire, to Matthew “Buddy” Sanders, son of Billy Joe and Diane Sanders of Clanton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Robert (Jack) and Annie Wilson, Gary McGuire, Little Tom (Jip) Minor, the late Patricia Minor, Lonnie and Nancy Autery, and William and Patrica Prough.

The groom is the grandson of the late Mitchell (JM) and Leecie Hopper, Vivian S. Jones and the late Alton Sanders.

Brittney is a graduate of Jefferson Community College with an associate degree in applied science in radiologic technology. She is currently employed with Chilton Medical Center.

The future groom received a technical industrial maintenance degree from Mercedes Benz Institute and is currently pursuing an electrical engineering degree from Jefferson State Community College. He is currently employed with Alabama Power.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. at Bell Lane Baptist Church. The reception will follow at the Jemison Municipal Complex in Jemison. All family and friends are welcome to attend. After a seven-day cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands and Mexico, the couple will reside in Clanton.
