Myrtle Geneva Popwell, 87, of Clanton died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, in Alabaster.

She was born on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1925, in Chilton County, daughter of the late James Fonzie Mullins and the late Ida Mae Caton Mullins.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are three sons, Don Popwell of Clanton, Ricky Popwell of Millbrook, Jim Popwell of Montgomery; daughter, Linda P. Chandler of Montgomery; sister, Dot Comer of Clanton; brother, Terry Mullins of Lake Jordan; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Erskine Popwell.

Friends were received from 5–8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
