Chilton boys defeat rival Jemison

Chilton County’s boys basketball team pulled away late to earn a 53-46 win over Jemison on Friday.

Perhaps the difference in the game was free throw shooting: CCHS made all six of its attempts from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter, while Jemison went just 2-of-7.

Jamarcus Williams went accounted for four of those fourth-quarter free throws for Chilton and finished with seven points.

Raquaez Cora scored a team-high 14 points for the Tigers (3-3), and Davre Williams had 10 points.

Jemison’s Jeremiah Gates led all scorers with 21 points. B.J. Kornegay had nine points for the Panthers (3-3).
