Robert Lee “Buddy” Jones

Robert Lee “Buddy” Jones, age 76, of Lawley entered into rest on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at his residence.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. at Rehobeth Baptist Church.

Burial followed in Rehobeth Cemetery with the Rev. Kirk Smith officiating and Rockco Funeral Home directing.

Visitation was held on Tuesday from 6–8 p.m. at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Frith Jones of Lawley; sons, Keith Jones of Lawley, Barry Jones of Lawley and Tim Jones (Kim) of Lawley; sister, Frances Chapman of McCalla; grandchildren, Brian Lee Jones, Brandon Lance Jones, Corey Ryan Lawley, Joshua Lee Jones and Allison Grave Jones.

He is preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Pallbearers were Jim Frith, Darrell Bone, David Jones, Tony Cochran, Kelly Smitherman, Jeff Thompson, Chris Epperson and Lynn Green.

Honorary pallbearers were Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Affinity Hospice Care, Bibb County Sheriff’s Department, Chilton County Sheriff’s Department, Clanton Police Department, Dr. Howard and staff and grandchildren.
