Clanton Christmas parade applications now available

Applications for the Clanton Christmas Parade are now available.

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Dec. 7 and follow its traditional course through downtown Clanton.

The applications are available at The Clanton Advertiser and Clanton City Hall.

The parade will assemble at the parking lots and fields in the area beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Floats and vehicles should enter the area via the road next to the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce. Marching groups and bands should assemble in the Fred’s parking lot.

In order to be included in the line-up, your application for parade participation must be received no later than Thursday, Dec. 6. Also, each driver must sign a release and waiver of liability and show a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance on the day of the parade.

Parade rules and regulations are included with the application.

The parade is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chilton County.

The seventh annual Clanton Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 6 at Corner Park in downtown Clanton.
