Billingsley breezed by Holy Spirit in the last region game of the season for both teams, 40-16.

BHS led 40-0 in the fourth quarter before substituting freely.

Terrance Nolen started the scoring with a 4-yard run with 8:16 remaining in the first quarter, and the sophomore added another TD run moments into the second quarter.

Quarterback Thomas Nichols then found paydirt after a 30-yard run.

Any chance host Holy Spirit (1-8 overall, 1-7 in Class 1A, Region 3) might have had was dashed over the course of the next couple of minutes in the game, as Denzel Callens returned two punts for touchdowns, from 48 yards out and from 60 yards out on consecutive returns.

Rashaud Caver ran in for 2-point conversions after both touchdowns to make the score 34-0 at halftime.

Billingsley (6-3, 5-2) added onto its lead with a 55-yard run by Torrey Green with less than 2 minutes left in the third quarter.

Holy Spirit scored both of its touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Nolen carried the ball nine times for 79 yards.

Matt Prebula led the defense with 10 tackles. He also returned an interception 50 yards.
