Shirley Ann Mull Thames, 70, of Thorsby died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

She was born on Saturday, Sept. 12, 1942, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Fuller Mull and the late Laster Glass Mull.

She was a custodian with the Chilton County Board of Education.


Surviving are her sons, Randy Thames of Thorsby, Sammy (Renee) Thames of Oak Mountain; daughters, Terry (Sydney) Jones of Thorsby, Mable (Lloyd Jenright) Thames of Tarrant; grandchildren, Brandy Hourany, Maverick Orion Jones, Zackery Dillion Jones, Sammy Chase Thames, Jessica Thames, Landan Thames, Jordan Thames; great-grandchild, Brantley Hourany; and step-grandchildren, Sawyer Thompson, Carley Thompson, Lindsey Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Kimberly Bennington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Samuel Thames.

Friends will be received from 6–8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willard Scott officiating.

Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery in Jemison.
