Pearl Davis Bell

Pearl Davis Bell, 91, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Thad Marshall officiating.

Interment will follow at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Kenneth McCorkel Jr., James H. Bell, John H. Bell Jr., Paul Atkins, Terry Hutto, Johnny Hutto, Jason H. Bell and Billy Hutto serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Fla.

Pearl was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Cooper, the daughter of Jesse Alonzo Davis and Betty Elizabeth Dennis Davis.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, John “Jack” Bell of Havana, Fla.; her daughters, Marie McCorkel (Kenneth) of Dayton, Texas, Mary Hutto of Donalsonville, Ga., Pattsy Burgess of Tallahassee, Fla., and Sharon Bell of Tallahassee, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Bell.
