Published 1:39am Saturday, October 20, 2012

Chilton County took a 7-3 lead just before halftime and held on for a win at John Carroll on Friday that clinches second place in Class 5A, Region 4—and homefield advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Carroll kicked a 46-yard field goal to get on the board first. They missed a 52-yarder and 55-yarder later in the game.

Richard Hilliard ran 1 yard for CCHS’s only score, with 2:45 remaining until halftime.
