Verbena falls short at Talladega

Jared Mims and Phillip Hensley hooked up for Verbena’s only touchdown of the night, a 10-yard pass play, as the Red Devils fell at Talladega County Central on Friday, 58-6.

The loss drops the Devils to 1-6 overall and 1-4 in Class 1A, Region 4 play.

Mims paced the defense with 11 tackles.
