Hazel Lucille Knight Dennis

Hazel Lucille Knight Dennis, age 84, of Verbena, passed away on Sept. 28, 2012, at Prattville Health and Rehab in Prattville.

She was born in Chilton County on April 11, 1928.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by: daughter, Glenda Cohen of Byron, Ga.; daughter, Judy Todd of Prattville; daughter, Patricia Crosswy of Prattville; daughter, Paula McCary of Verbena; son, John Pettijohn of Verbena; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Dennis and Roy Dennis.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 30, from 5–8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Christensen officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Harmony Baptist Cemetery in Elmore County.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
