Clara Sue Rooks, 76, of Clanton died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.

She was born on Friday, June 5, 1936, in Maplesville, daughter of the late William Raymond Hayes and the late Clara Dell Sims Hayes.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her four daughters, Susan (Don) Harrell of Montevallo, Bonnie (Jeff Jenkins) Myrick of Millbrook, Bridgett (Charlie Helton) Sanders of Millbrook, Tammy (David) Sample of Montevallo; son, Randy (Maria) Rooks of Clanton; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Rooks; son, David Bone; daughter, Donna Smith; grandson, Tyler Rooks; great-granddaughter, Keelie Michelle Bates; and brother, James Edward Hayes.

Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23, at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services were held Monday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Bert Tippett officiating.
