James Vaughn Beck

James Vaughn Beck, 67, of Clanton died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.

He was born on Saturday, Jan. 20, 1945, in Mississippi, son of the late Claude Beck and the late Mamie Cline Beck.

He was a railroad engineer.

Surviving are wife, Becky Beck of Clanton; daughter, Julie Beck Hatten of Hattiesburg, Miss.; son, Joseph Beck of Knoxville, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Davidica McConnell of Clanton; six grandchildren; three brothers, Terry Beck of Brandon, Miss., Bill Beck of Brandon, Miss. and Mike Beck of Brandon, Miss.; three sisters, Dorothy Simmons Robbins of San Antonio, Texas, Bobbie Lane of San Francisco, Calif. and Patty Travis of Brandon, Miss.

A visitation will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5-8 p.m.

Friends will be received from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Eubanks officiating.

Interment will follow in Lakewood Cemetery in Clinton, Miss.
