Paul Stanley Varden, age 77 of Birmingham, passed away Sept. 12, 2012.

Mr. Varden was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Fortner Varden, and son, Bruce Stanley Varden.

He is survived by his daughters, Melinda Dawson (Robert), Lou Ann Scott, Vicki Gilley (Randy); son, D. Paul Varden, 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15 at 12 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Forest Crest Cemetery.
