Isabella held on for a 14-12 win Friday over region foe Prattville Christian.

Isabella’s D.J. Talley started the scoring with a 2-yard run. The point-after by Chanley Ratliff made the score 7-0.

Prattville Christian answered right back with a touchdown drive of its own, concluded with a 19-yard scoring run, but Isabella’s Jacob Carroll blocked the point-after, so the Mustangs (2-1) still led, 7-6.

Prattville Christian took the lead with 7:13 remaining in the third quarter, but a 2-point conversion attempt failed, leaving the score at 12-7.

IHS claimed the lead for good with a 1-yard run by Mason Pate with 1:13 to go in the third. Ratliff was good on the extra point.

The Mustangs were able to hold onto the lead to close out the game.

Talley had 22 carries for 64 yards, and Pate had 16 carries for 64 yards.

IHS had 15 first downs to six for Prattville Christian.

IHS hosts another region foe, Horseshoe Bend, next week.
