Shirley A. Taylor, 76, of Maplesville died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on Sunday, Oct. 6, 1935, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Malcolm Chambers and the late Annie Giles Chambers.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her three daughters, Sheila (Jeff) D’Agostina of The Woodlands, Texas, Sharon (Randy) Roper of Maplesville and Shelene Connell of Maplesville; son, Mal (Tammie) Taylor of Daphne; step-son, Charles (Pat) Taylor of Birmingham; three granddaughters, Kristina (Josh) Neal of Spring, Texas, Tara Brooke (Hunter Mathews) Mitchell of Maplesville and Bailee Connell of Maplesville; two grandsons, James Taylor of Daphne and Brett Connell of Maplesville; and six step-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. at Maplesville Baptist Church with the Rev. William Short and the Rev. Kirk Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Maplesville.
