Carolyn Stewart Lahti, 74, of Shelby died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012.

She was born on Thursday, June 23, 1938 in Alabama, daughter of the late Marcus Walker Beck and the late Carmie Parker Beck.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her four daughters, Deanna Toumlilt of Vancouver, Canada; Debbie Gentry of Shelby; Deleah Holcombe of Clanton; Dannell Mallory of Jemison; son, Jay Stewart of Verbena; sister, Margaret Posey of Birmingham; five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Stewart, and husband, Edward Lahti.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 26 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Monday, Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Vanderslice officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Clanton.
